ColumbiaSoft was founded in 1998 by business processes expert and entrepreneur Richard Day. Day’s first-hand experience of the challenges in providing employees with the tools necessary to manage, share, and find documents led him to search for a solution. After finding other legacy systems overly complex and costly, Day set out to solve the problem by bringing to market an innovative, low-cost, easy-to-use document management system: Document Locator.
